Withdraw an obsolete product document without losing the buyer

A product document may need to be replaced or withdrawn after it has been linked in messages and downloaded by buyers. Decide what happens at the old address instead of treating the change as a simple file upload.

Identify the reason

A Czech supplier may replace routine descriptive material, retire a product or withdraw information that needs professional review. These situations can need different customer explanations. The product owner and relevant advisers determine what should remain available.

Keep the route understandable

Where a suitable current replacement exists, help the reader find it. If the earlier document should no longer be used, explain the supported next step. Avoid silently showing a different product's file under the old label.

Review the references

Check catalog pages, language versions, confirmation messages and any portal that links to the document. A folder replacement does not update every place where the old information was described.

Use a controlled example

Try an old saved link and the current catalog route. Ask the reviewer to identify which material is current and whether the public explanation is accurate. Preserve required business history privately under the organization's agreed responsibilities.
