Requests

Tell staff when the customer needs an answer, without inventing a promise

A customer may need a quotation before a planning meeting or procurement decision. Asking about that date can help staff prioritize, but the form should not imply that every requested deadline has automatically been accepted.

Label the customer's request

A Czech supplier might ask when the information is needed and provide a place to explain the reason. Make clear that staff will review feasibility. Avoid converting the submitted date into an unsupported response guarantee.

Keep date context explicit

If a precise time matters across locations, identify the relevant time zone. A date-only requirement may be sufficient for many inquiries; collect more precision only when it helps the decision.

Use the staff handover

The reviewer should see the requested deadline with the product and missing information. If the request cannot be met, the reply needs a clear alternative or clarification rather than an unexplained overdue label.

Test a late change

Use a fictional customer who changes the requested date after providing more detail. Check that the current request is visible and that an earlier date does not keep generating misleading reminders.

Explicit date formatting supports clear presentation, while the business defines its commitments. A request workflow can include the review and reminder rules along with the field.
